What Is a Step and Repeat?

A step and repeat is a backdrop printed with a logo pattern that repeats across the whole surface. The name comes from red carpets, where guests step, stop for a photo, and repeat. Because the pattern covers everything, your brand shows up in the shot no matter how the photographer frames it.

  • Material: 9 oz. soft polyester fabric, which is lightweight, foldable, and reusable
  • Printing: high-resolution dye sublimation at 720 x 720 dpi

Layout Tips for Better Photos

  • Alternate two logos. Most step and repeats alternate the host logo with a sponsor or event name in a staggered grid.
  • Size logos for head height. Guests stand in front of the middle of the backdrop, so make sure logos appear above and beside where their shoulders will be.
  • Use a solid background color. Black, navy, and white photograph cleanly. Busy gradients compete with faces.
